Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a skilled CV Interventional Tech II to join our cardiovascular team. The role emphasizes advanced interventional procedure support, equipment operation, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will hold ARRT licensure and BLS; ACLS preferred with a year to obtain if needed, and will participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; can obtain within 1 year if not current.
• ARRT licensure as RT(R)(CV), RT(R)(CI) or RT(R)(VI) and MD licensure.
• RCIS (CIC) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain interventional labs and equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular interventions.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs during procedures; respond to changes.
• Ensure safety standards, infection control, and QA protocols are followed.
• Document procedural details and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with tech advances.
