Job summary

Dell Medical School, in conjunction with Ascension Texas, seeks Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, delivering world-class adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.

The APP will split clinical time between the telemetry floor and the clinic, providing patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings under supervising physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified.
• Physician Assistant with NCCPA board certification and Texas Medical Board license.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority and national board certification; Texas Board of Nursing license.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessments; orders and interprets diagnostic studies.
• Provides direct treatment and management of conditions via prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes according to standards and policy.
• Participates in orientation and education of staff and students.
• Other related functions as assigned.
