Job summary

Dell Medical School seeks Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class cardiovascular and thoracic care. APPs will split time between telemetry, clinic, and inpatient settings, providing patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body.
• Physician Assistant with NCCPA board certification and licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification (AANPCB or ANCC) and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment; orders and interprets diagnostic studies.
• Provides direct treatment and management via prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Documents care delivery in accordance with standards and policy.
• Participates in orientation and education of staff and students.
• Other related functions as assigned
