Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Cardiovascular Specialist to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. You will assist with scrub, monitoring and circulating duties under physician supervision and support treatments and procedures while focusing on patient safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has a Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology program completion and ARRT certification, with interventional experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology program is required.
• ARRT certification or related credential is required; additional interventional training preferred.
• Graduate of an Allied Health Technology program (Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.).
• Cardiovascular Interventional program training or 2+ years of Cardiovascular Specialist experience suggested.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates evidence-based practice and cares for patient comfort and wellbeing.
• Performs or assists with treatments, therapies and procedures (scrub, monitoring, circulating) under physician direction.
• Administers medications under physician supervision as appropriate.
• Documents patient clinical picture and records information in the chart.
• Communicates relevant information to physicians and teammates.
• Calculates, interprets and analyzes clinical data.
• Assists in developing policies and standards of care reflecting current practice.
• Encouraged to participate in committee and governance activities.
