Job summary

Atrium Health in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Cardiovascular Specialist to support interventional procedures in the Cath Lab. The role requires ARRT or RN licensure, ACLS certification within 90 days, and experience in a cardiovascular setting.

You will work with physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care and maintain equipment readiness. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, documentation, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health Technology.
• Cardiovascular Interventional Program graduate or minimum of two years as Cardiovascular Specialist.
• Certified in CPR and ACLS with current licensure or ARRT registration as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies and ensures a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Maintains readiness of emergency equipment and supplies and recognizes acute situations requiring intervention.
• Operates radiographic and fluoroscopic cardiac catheterization equipment with safety controls and universal protocol.
• Maintains accurate departmental records, data entry, and documentation for QA and compliance.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and team members to coordinate care and explain procedures.
• Provides coverage for 24-hour emergency calls and supports cross-department collaboration.
• Administers medications under physician supervision and ensures patient physiologic stability during procedures.
• Maintains competence through ongoing education and participation in training and in-services.
