Job summary

Gore is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Scientist to apply CFD/FSI to medical device design and regulatory submissions. You will model cardiovascular hemodynamics, perform simulations, and accelerate development through virtual testing in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role offers hybrid work from Flagstaff or Phoenix, with opportunities to advance modeling workflows, AI/ML integration, and data-driven decision making in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in mechanical or biomedical engineering with at least 5 years CFD experience.
  • Experience with Fluent, Star CCM+, COMSOL or similar software and related pre- and post-processing tools.
  • Experience in cardiovascular hemodynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support in medical product design, optimization and new product development.
  • Perform CFD/FSI modeling of transient flow, species transport, porous jumps, multiphase flow, mass transport and heat transfer.
  • Advance data-driven modeling using AI/ML and PINNs techniques.
  • Develop techniques to combine data-driven and physics-based modeling.
  • Verify and validate computational analyses and document results.
