Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our cardiac and vascular surgical teams. The role collaborates with surgeons, intensivists and a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes and deliver exceptional perioperative care.

The candidate will provide patient advocacy, health education, and in-patient care on the general floor and in the surgical ICU, while meeting ACLS and nursing requirements for this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, NCCPA- approved.
• Active and unrestricted NJ state licensure.
• Active ACLS certification and DEA.
• Minimum one year cardiac/vascular surgical first assist or cardiac critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeon, surgical intensivist and team for safe cardiac/vascular procedures.
• Deliver high-quality perioperative patient care and advocacy.
• Provide patient and family education and health assessments.
