Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our team. You will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care, including surgical assistance, inpatient management, and outpatient clinical services.

The role requires current SD NP or PA licensure, with ACNP or cardiovascular-focused PA preferred, and experience in endovascular vein/artery harvesting. Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as NP or PA in South Dakota.
• ACNP or cardiovascular-focused PA preferred.
• Experience with endovascular vein and artery harvesting is required.
• Strong inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care background.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first assist in cardiothoracic procedures.
• Manage inpatient cardiothoracic care including pre- and post-operative phases.
• Provide outpatient follow-up and post-operative education.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff and other teams.
• Participate in case discussions and cardiovascular quality improvement initiatives.
