• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be eligible for certification with independent prescriptive authority.
• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiothoracic surgery patients, with emphasis on history, exam, and co-morbidity review.
• Inpatient duties include rounding, orders, and discharge planning.
• Provide outpatient assessment, education, and care coordination.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and hospital staff; participate in open clinical trials when appropriate.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management and assist in OR as needed.
• Triage calls and emails; ensure continuity of care and quality improvement.
