Job summary

Med Source Consultants seeks a Nurse Practitioner for a cardiothoracic surgery locum-tenens assignment in Springfield, OH. The role includes inpatient hospital coverage, postoperative care, and assisting in surgery in a Level 2 Trauma facility.

Active Ohio or compact license, vascular surgery board certification, ACLS and DEA, and 5+ years CT/vascular experience are required. Travel reimbursements apply; schedule is Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00 with on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio license or compact license required.
• Board certification in vascular surgery required.
• ACLS and DEA certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery experience.
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.
• Take consults from the ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers.
• Provide post-operative care and coordinate tests.
• Supervise or teach as part of the role when required.
• Document patient care in Epic EMR.
