Job summary

Career Land Center, LLC is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Stepdown Registered Nurse in Fort Myers to join its intermediate care team. You will provide specialized nursing care to post-operative cardiothoracic patients and monitor hemodynamic status in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires strong critical thinking, effective communication, and flexibility for floating across the system and varying shift schedules. Relocation housing support is offered for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cardiothoracic stepdown experience within the last 2 years.
• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Strong critical-thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac care.
• Flexibility with scheduling and floating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to post-operative cardiothoracic patients.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and changes in patient conditions.
• Support recovery in stepdown/intermediate care setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and interdisciplinary staff.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately.
• Educate patients and families about recovery expectations.
• Adapt to staffing needs across the system.
