Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to support patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will assist with basic care, gather data, and help maintain a safe, clean patient area under RN/LPN supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care procedures and basic clinical skills.
• Ability to document patient data accurately in the electronic health record.
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Take and record vital signs and document information for RN/LPN.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
