Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant in Toledo Hospital’s Surgery department. The role is full time, 40 hours weekly, with days shifts.

You will be the primary clinician with selected patients, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care within the surgical/medical plan. Qualifications include an RN license in the hiring state, a CNOR certification (or CPR certified), and two years of intraoperative experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Successfully completed a course in preparing the registered nurse as a first assistant in surgery.
• Skills: Must be able to differentiate colors.
• Skills: Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
• Years of Experience: 2 years of intraoperative clinical experience.
• License: Current RN licensure in the state in which you are hired.
• Certification: CPR certified. Current CNOR specialization.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse First Assistant is the primary clinician with specific patients in conjunction with the surgical/medical plan.
• Assess a patient’s status to anticipate and respond to clinical changes and recognize critical situations.
• Begin, implement, and evaluate a nursing plan of care.
