Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH is seeking an RN First Assistant to support the General Surgery team in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, scrub and prep, monitor patient status with the OR team, and help with wound closure and perioperative care.

The role requires RN licensure, CNOR, and an RNFA course, with two years of OR experience. Shifts rotate 7:00am-5:30pm or 1:00pm-11:30pm, with on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an RN First Assistant course.
• Current stateRN licensure as an RN.
• CNOR certification is required.
• Two years of OR or perioperative experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical nursing care and treatment for procedures.
• Communicate with surgeons, nurses and OR staff on patient status and steps.
• Assist with wound closure, catheter placement, prep and scrubbing in.
• Gain hands-on perioperative experience in a high-volume facility.
