Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to participate in all aspects of perioperative and intensive care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients at our Ann Arbor facility.

The role includes preoperative evaluation, postoperative care, and collaboration with physicians, nurses and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care. Requires PA/NP program completion, state license, NCCPA, DEA, ACLS and FCCS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State of Michigan Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
• DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate, United States DOJ.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Certification.
• Fundamental Critical Care Support – Provider, SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Participate in care of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients under physician supervision.
• Perform preoperative evaluation and postoperative care.
• Order and review labs, imaging and other diagnostic tests as indicated.
• Open/close sternotomies and incisions in ICU and progressive care units as needed.
