Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to participate in all aspects of care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients under physician supervision. You will perform preoperative and postoperative care, coordinate therapies, and support families as part of a collaborative team.

The role includes duties such as managing rounds, dictation of notes and discharge summaries, assisting in procedures, and maintaining ACLS status.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• State of Michigan PA/NP license required.
• DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Certification.
• Fundamental Critical Care Support – Provider.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients under physician supervision.
• Perform preoperative evaluation and postoperative care with therapy implementations.
• Open/close sternotomies and other incisions in ICU and progressive care units as indicated.
• Transport and initial care of operative patients in recovery room and ICU.
• Participate in 24/7 coverage with CT PA/NPs and advanced practice nurses.
