The Allegheny General CTSICU is a 24-bed unit providing post-surgical ICU care to cardiac, thoracic, vascular and transplant patients. Nurses are trained to scrub and circulate, supporting and treating patients with devices such as VAD, ECMO, Impella and balloon pumps.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 FBI background checks required
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide care based on nursing process for designated patient population
• Demonstrate clinical assessment and develop care plans
• Direct and manage patient care delivery with the care team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge
• Assess learning needs of patient and family and provide education
