UVA Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit (TCV ICU) in Virginia. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering critical care to postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients.

The role emphasizes clinical autonomy within a collaborative environment, with onboarding, ongoing education, and opportunities to contribute to quality and safety initiatives. ACLS required; CSU ALS available upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited graduate nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
• 2+ years as an Advanced Practice Provider preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
• ACLS, PALS/NRP as required; CSU ALS upon hire or as mandated.

Responsabilités

• Manage postoperative cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic ICU patients.
• Accept new admissions and transfers; coordinate discharges and transfers.
• Prescribe therapies and adjust plans based on data and patient response.
• Perform ICU procedures including invasive monitoring and ventilator management.
