Job summary

The Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist role at ECAA - Anesthesia Specialists in Gastonia, NC involves delivering complex anesthesia for cardiac and general cases, including CABGs, valves, and LVAD program launch, with emphasis on patient safety and high-quality recovery.

You will supervise CRNAs and mentored trainees, perform regional and general anesthesia, and collaborate closely with surgical teams to optimize outcomes in a two-year partnership track opportunity.

Qualifications

• Cardiothoracic fellowship completed or in progress.
• BC/BE in anesthesiology required or eligible.
• NC medical license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers general and regional anesthesia and pain medications, adjusting as needed before, during, and after surgery and other procedures.
• Provides anesthesia maintenance and adjustment before, during, and after procedures.
• Orders diagnostic tests as needed.
• Works closely with surgical specialists.
• Supervises registered nurse anesthetists and other staff.
• Mentors and supervises anesthesiology interns, residents, and fellows.
