Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program. You will work in inpatient and outpatient settings, develop individualized exercise prescriptions, monitor progress, and support recovery for patients with cardiovascular disease.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will educate patients and families, participate in testing, adjust prescriptions based on response, and contribute to program growth across Cleveland Clinic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in an exercise-related field.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient testing before and after rehabilitation, including strength, body composition, flexibility, balance and endurance.
• Provide exercise prescriptions for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen.
• Update exercise prescriptions according to patient response.
• Implement concepts of cardiac secondary prevention.
• Recognize contraindications to exercise and abnormal patient responses to exercise.
• Respond to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
• Provide exercise information to patients, peers and the community through public speaking and education classes.
