Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Exercise Physiologist to develop individualized programs for patients recovering from heart-related conditions and to lead exercise sessions with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires training in exercise physiology, CPR/BLS, and relevant certifications; ACLS preferred. Strong patient education and leadership abilities are essential, with commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in exercise physiology or related field required or preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in a clinical cardiopulmonary rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Certification such as ACSM CEP or AACVPR PR preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac medications and their effects on exercise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized exercise programs for patients recovering from heart-related conditions.
• Conduct initial assessments and re-assessments to track progress and adjust programs.
• Lead and supervise patients during exercise sessions.
• Educate patients on heart-healthy lifestyle changes and risk factor reduction.
• Work with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and treatment plans.
• Stay current with field advancements and continuing education.
