Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to manage daily equipment operations and participant orientations within the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. You will guide safe equipment use, perform baseline assessments, and help organize rehab activities. Travel to health fairs may be required.

The role includes inpatients education on cardiovascular risks and benefits of Phase II rehab, plus BP checks, pulse and glucose monitoring as part of routine care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in health science or related field; ACSM within 6 months optional
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification within 3 months
• ACSM certification within 6 months preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program equipment area.
• Assist participants with equipment orientations and usage.
• Monitor Telemetry and guide safe operation of fitness equipment.
• Perform preventive wellness and baseline assessments.
• Organize and implement cardiopulmonary rehab programs.
• Represent Augusta Health CPR program at health fairs/outside events.
• Educate inpatients about cardiovascular risk factors and rehab benefits.
• Take blood pressures, palpate pulse, monitor pulse oximetry and perform glucose checks.
