Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA, seeks an Exercise Physiologist to oversee the cardiopulmonary rehab equipment area and assist participants with orientations. You will monitor telemetry, guide safe equipment use, and perform wellness assessments while organizing programs and participating in health fairs.

Education includes a BS in Health Science or related field (ACSM certification within 6 months), current BLS, ALCS within 3 months, and ACSM within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in health sciences or related field or ACSM certification within 6 months.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACSM certification within 6 months of hire.
• ALCS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program equipment area.
• Assist participants with equipment orientations and monitor telemetry.
• Provide guidance on safe and proper use of fitness equipment.
• Perform baseline and preventive wellness assessments and organize rehab programs.
• Represent the program at health fairs and educate inpatients on cardiovascular risk factors.
• Record vital signs and blood glucose, and support patient education.
