Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Patient Educator in Tulsa, OK to educate patients on PAH therapies and provide clinical support. About This Role

As a Cardiopulmonary Patient Educator with CVS Health, you will utilize your clinical skills to educate patients and their caregivers about complex Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) therapies, providing essential clinical support and guidance.

What You’ll Do

• Consult and collaborate with physicians, clinicians, pharmacy operations, and the sales team to coordinate the patient’s plan of care.
• Work within a highly specialized area of nursing and enjoy the autonomy that comes from working within a home care service.
• Assist patients who are initiating or transitioning to infused or inhaled therapies for PAH.
• Develop deep relationships with patients and caregivers in a one-on-one setting.
• Participate in on-call as the business needs.
• Travel via car and airplane to see patients, support the sales team, and for training as needed.
• Teach on oral or inhaled medications via video conference call from home approximately 20% of the time.
• Spend approximately 80% of your time traveling to visit patients in-person to teach them how to administer their infused medications.
• Visit patients within a two-hour drive of Tulsa about 50-60% of the time, with occasional travel throughout the Western Region including WA and OR.
• Conduct overnight visits as required.

Requirements

Education:
RN Diploma, Associates or B.S. degree in nursing

Experience:
Two years of experience in a critical care or acute care hospital setting providing high-tech infusions, or two years of high-tech home infusion experience.

Licenses & Certifications:
Current unrestricted RN license in the state of OK with ability to obtain additional licensure for multi-state service area
Current CPR certification required
Valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance required
