Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Patient Educator to consult with physicians, coordinate plans of care, and educate patients initiating infused or inhaled therapies for PAH. This full-time, direct-hire role is based in Oklahoma with extensive travel within the Tulsa area and region, including occasional travel to WA and OR.

The ideal candidate is an RN with an unrestricted OK license, has 2 years in critical care or high-tech infusion, strong communication and computer skills, CPR

Qualifications

• Must live within one hour of Tulsa International Airport.
• RN with current OK license and ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
• Two years in critical care or high-tech infusion in hospital or home infusion.
• Ability to travel as required; valid driver’s license and auto insurance; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with physicians, clinicians, and sales to coordinate patient care.
• Work within home care nursing to support PAH therapies.
• Assist patients initiating or transitioning to infused or inhaled therapies.
• Develop relationships with patients and caregivers in one-on-one settings.
• Maintain excellent written and verbal customer service and advanced computer skills.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Travel to see patients, support sales, and training; overnight visits may occur.
• Teach patients via video conference from home ~20% of the time; travel 80% for in-person visits within Tulsa area and broader region including TX, WA, OR.

Cardiopulmonary Patient Educator with CVS Health

This is a direct-hire, full-time position. In this role you will:

• - Consult and collaborate with physicians, clinicians, pharmacy operations and the sales team to coordinate the patient’s plan of care.
• - Work within a highly specialized area of nursing and enjoy the autonomy that comes from working within a home care service.
• - Assist patients who are initiating or transitioning to infused or inhaled therapies for PAH.
• - Develop deep relationships with patients and caregivers in a one-on-one setting.
• - Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with key partners.
• - Participate in on-call as the business needs.
• - Travel:
• - Travel will be via car and airplane to see patients, support our sales team, and for training as needed.
• - Teaches on oral, or inhaled medications will be done via video conference call and you will do this from your own home approximately 20% of the time.
• - Approximately 80% of your time will be spent traveling to visit patients in-person to teach them how to administer their infused medications.
• - You will visit patients within a two-hour drive of Tulsa about 50-60% of this time with the remaining percentage traveling throughout the state and into TX.
• - Occasional travel throughout the Western Region including WA and OR.
• - Overnight visits will take place.

Required Qualifications

• - Must live within one hour of Tulsa International Airport.
• - Registered Nurse with a current unrestricted license in the state of OK with ability to obtain additional licensure for multi-state service area.
• - Two years of experience in a critical care or acute care hospital setting providing high-tech infusions, or two years of high-tech home infusion experience.
• - Ability to build positive business relationships with all levels of medical/clinical personnel.
• - Ability to travel as noted in the position summary and as business needs require.
• - Have and maintain current CPR certification.
• - Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
• - Participate in the on call rotation as determined by staffing and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Experience in caring for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension – PAH is great, but not required.
• - Home healthcare and pediatric experience is preferred, but not required.
• - CRNI certification is preferred, but not required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $54,095.00 - $116,760.00 The pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
