Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's cardiology department is seeking a technician to perform a range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including EKGs, event monitoring, and pacemaker interrogation. The role includes vital signs, patient monitoring, rooming, and reviewing medical history.

The position may involve occasional medical secretary duties such as chart management, receptionist, and clerical tasks to support the department.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; associates/bachelor in Life Sciences or CV Technology cert preferred.
• One year cardiology diagnostic experience preferred; stress testing and arrhythmia recognition essential.
• Pacemaker experience highly preferred; Spanish fluency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostics: EKGs, event monitoring, pacemaker interrogation, stress testing under physician direction.
• Take vital signs, monitor patient responses during tests, and review medical history and medications.
• Occasional duties as medical secretary: chart management, receptionist and clerical tasks to support department operations.
