The cardiology technician performs a variety of non‑invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including EKGs, event monitoring application, pacemaker interrogation, and, under physician direction, stress testing. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, monitoring patient responses during diagnostic testing, rooming patients, and reviewing medical history and medications. The position also requires occasional duties as a medical secretary, supporting chart management, receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate department operations.
