Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Cardiology Technician to support procedures in the Cardiac Lab and Cardiovascular Procedure areas. The role includes patient prep, ECG readings, sheath pull assistance, and ongoing room preparation to ensure readiness and safety.

Under supervision, you will transport patients, monitor vital signs, and assist with post-procedure recovery, including returning the patient to their room and ensuring the call light is accessible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Patient care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to nursing units as needed.
• Assist with patient preps before and after exams.
• Perform electrocardiograph readings on patients as requested.
• Maintain and restock equipment and perform basic cleaning.
• Assist in sheath pulls under RN direction when needed.
• Prepare Cardiac Procedure rooms with adequate stock.
• Record and report vital signs per unit standards.
• Respond to call lights promptly and assist patient return post-procedure.
