Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacists supporting cardiology and surgical services. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for a team of clinical pharmacists and specialists, ensuring medication safety and high-quality patient care across the organization.

You'll collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication use, develop programs, mentor staff, and drive practice

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• PGY1 residency completed preferred.
• 2 years of progressive pharmacy experience with leadership responsibilities required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Experience as Clinical Coordinator / Residency Program Director or similar leadership role valued.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate pharmacy operations for cardiology and surgery.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for pharmacists and specialists.
• Mentor and develop staff; manage performance and succession planning.
• Advance medication safety, formulary management and clinical best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary partners to optimize patient outcomes.
• Drive workflows improvements and expansion of clinical pharmacy services as the organization grows.
