Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks an experienced RN to prepare, supervise, perform and monitor patients during stress tests in the cardiology lab.

The role requires ACLS and BLS, Nevada RN licensure, and at least one year in IR/Telemetry or Critical Care; you will also operate the Coumadin Clinic and coordinate patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada state Registered Nurse Licensure.
• One year experience in IR, Telemetry, Emergency Services or Critical Care required.
• Moderate Sedation experience required.
• Current BLS certification and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patients rhythm changes to the ordering Physician.
• Providing education to the patient and family members: Includes ensuring the patient and family members understand the procedure and plan of care before signing procedural consent and providing discharge instructions.
• Inserting and removing intravenous lines.
• Administering medications including moderate sedation.
