Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks a registered nurse to lead a cardiology stress lab and Coumadin clinic. Responsibilities include supervising stress tests, interpreting EKG rhythms, and communicating changes to physicians. Requires ACLS, BLS, and experience in telemetry or critical care.

Neveda RN licensure is required; candidates should be self-motivated, with strong patient-centered care and teamwork in a multi-facility system.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada state Registered Nurse Licensure.
• One year experience in IR, Telemetry, Emergency Services or Critical Care.
• Moderate Sedation experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, supervise, perform and monitor patients during stress tests.
• Evaluate EKG rhythms and respond to emergent situations.
• Operate the Coumadin Clinic by evaluating labs and adjusting medications.
• Maintain records for each patient and participate in performance improvement.

Job Summary:

This position will prepare, supervise, perform and monitor patients during stress tests. Must have ability to evaluate EKG rhythm and respond to emergent situation. Must be a self motivated individual willing to take charge of a growing cardiology stress lab. Qualification include current ACLS, experience with advanced rhythm analysis with a patient centered approach. In addition to Stress testing this position will operate the Coumadin Clinic by evaluating patients labs test and communicating changes to there medications as needed. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicates patients rhythem changes to the ordering Physician.
• Providing education to the patient and family members: Includes ensuring the patient and family members understand the procedure and plan of care before signing procedural consent and providing them with discharge planning/instructions.
• Inserting and removing intravenous lines.
• Administering medications including moderate sedation.
