Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for the Cardiology Stepdown on the Days shift. You will work with RNs/LPNs to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct patient care tasks.

Responsibilities include basic care, vitals, and data collection, while maintaining patient comfort and safety. The role requires adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant I certification currently listed with NC DHHS.
• BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by end of new hire orientation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Obtain and record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of information collected.
• Provide basic care and comfort, assist RN/LPN in care of acutely ill patients.
• Take and record vital signs, document and report changes in condition.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
• Clean, stock and replenish supplies; participate in unit upkeep and equipment maintenance.
