Job summary

SriMatrix Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiology to join our Cardiology Department. You will provide direct patient care, assist with stress tests, and educate patients on imaging procedures in a collaborative, community-focused hospital setting.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, ACLS, and a BSN, with experience in cardiology or similar clinical settings. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Experience in cardiology or similar clinical setting preferred.
• Experience with stress testing and EKG interpretation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Assist with stress testing procedures and nursing care during diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare patients for stress testing, including interviews, histories, and consent.
• Educate patients about nuclear imaging procedures and potential risks.
• Monitor vitals, IV access, and EKG during testing.
• Set up and monitor 12-lead EKG stress tests and interpret rhythms.
• Apply ACLS algorithms during emergencies and manage airway as needed.
• Monitor patient status to identify conditions requiring test termination.
• Perform general Cardiology nursing duties outside of imaging center as needed.
