Job summary

Carle Health seeks a stress testing registered nurse to deliver high-quality care for patients undergoing cardiac stress testing and related non-invasive cardiovascular procedures. You will assess, prepare, monitor, educate, and support patients before, during, and after testing in a collaborative team.

The role requires >1 year of cardiac experience, IL RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. Primary work at the Main Hospital with comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must have cardiac experience (>1 year).
• Licensed RN (Illinois) with current licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days; ACLS certification within 1 year.
• Nursing diploma required. All listed certifications expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care per standards and scope.
• Perform advanced nursing activities (IV placement, vasodilator administration for stress test).
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of care.
• Provide health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Serve as preceptor and support staff development.
• Provide leadership for quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor in developing standing orders.
• Apply Holter/Event monitors and interpret results.
• Perform EKGs.
• Conduct stress testing and monitor cardiac rhythms and vitals; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer IV medications and fluids as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and diagnostic staff on emergencies or complications.
