Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide specialty and critical care services across outpatient and inpatient settings. The PA will operate within the PA-C scope, adhering to privileging, policies, and the organization’s mission.

The role may require evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage depending on the specific setting, with rotations as needed to ensure full care delivery across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Current PA license (PA-C) or board eligible.
• Certification in ACLS and CPR (AHA) required.
• NCCPA recertification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates diagnostic and emergency care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Orders and interprets a broad range of labs and imaging to guide care.
• Initiates emergency measures and communicates with the attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, administers injections, and performs minor procedures.
• Coordinates complex care with families and the care team.
• Maintains accurate documentation reflecting care complexity.
• Educates patients on prevention, medications, and follow-up care.
• Participates in quality improvement and adheres to policies.
