Location: New Haven, CT

Schedule: Full-Time (5 days per week)

Salary: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. You will provide comprehensive care to patients with heart-related conditions, working alongside a dedicated healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic tests
  • Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Administer medications, monitor responses, and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Conduct cardiac stress tests, EKGs, and other diagnostics
  • Educate patients and families about cardiovascular health and preventive measures
  • Provide counseling and emotional support
  • Assist with invasive procedures under cardiologist supervision
  • Maintain knowledge of CMS Regulations and NCQA HEDIS Guidelines
  • Document medical records ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
  • Analyze and organize care for critically complex patients

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certification
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Preferred experience in cardiology and EMR documentation (training provided)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
