Job summary

UCHealth in Colorado Springs is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiology team. This full-time position offers clinic and inpatient coverage with a collaborative group of 23 physicians and 15 APPs, enabling autonomous practice within a supportive team.

The ideal candidate holds a PA or NP master's degree, appropriate state licenses, prescriptive authority, and board certification (PA-C or ANCC/AANPCB).

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Unrestricted Colorado PA license.
• PA-C certification required for hire.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe.
• Eligible for Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
• No sanctions from HHS/OIG or GSA lists.
• Unrestricted medical staff membership with privileges.
• Prescriptive authority per privileging.
• BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross).
• Master's degree in Nursing.
• ANCC/AANPCB NP certification.
• Unrestricted NP license in state of practice or compact authority.
• NP prescriptive authority eligibility.
• DEA permit to prescribe for NP practice.

Responsibilities

• Join a highly collaborative cardiology team of 23 Physicians and 15 APPs.
• Support both clinic and inpatient operations with practice variety.
• Weekend call as part of the coverage.
• Care for a broad spectrum of cardiac conditions.
• Practice autonomously within a supportive physician-APP team.
• Includes an anticipated monthly outreach commitment to La Junta, CO.
