Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be eligible for certification with independent prescriptive authority.
• Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred.
• Surgical First Assist experience and Da Vinci Robotic Surgery training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage cardiothoracic surgery patients in hospital and clinic settings.
• Perform inpatient duties: rounds, orders, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Assess and manage outpatient patients, provide education and disease management.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and clinic staff; participate in protocol development.
• Participate in clinical research and open clinical trials as appropriate.
• Assist in operating room as needed and manage chest tube care.
