Job summary

UCHealth is actively seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiology team in Colorado Springs. The role is full-time, offering a mix of outpatient and inpatient duties with a focus on high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will join a collaborative team of 23 physicians and 15 APPs, support outreach to La Junta, CO, and participate in weekend call while maintaining or expanding high-acuity practice capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in PA Studies or Nursing required as applicable.
• Active, unrestricted Colorado license for PA or NP.
• Certification as PA-C or NP with ongoing maintenance.
• DEA permit to prescribe medications and prescriptive authority.
• Ability to obtain Medicare/Medicaid provider status and no sanctions.
• Unrestricted medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Prescriptive authority as per privileging process.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support clinic and inpatient operations with practice variety.
• Care for a broad spectrum of cardiac conditions.
• Weekend call responsibilities and autonomous practice within a collaborative team.
