Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and test results.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and keep them stocked and clean.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vitals (weight/height).
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Answer calls and return patient phone calls promptly.
• Assist physician in the room and during procedures as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Transport and assist with diagnostic testing appointments and procedures.
