Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform direct clinical activities including patient intake, blood draw, EKG, and various tests as required by the provider. You will document all interactions in the EMR with accuracy and in compliance with licensure and VMG policies.

The role also involves front desk duties such as patient registration, billing, insurance coordination, and safe visit protocols under the guidance of the Practice Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Current and valid certification as a medical assistant or registered medical assistant (AMT, AAMA, NCCT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and other tests as directed.
• Document accurately in the EMR system per licensure and VMG policies.
