Job summary

Valley Family Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time position. You will assist in examination and treatment under supervision of nurses, mid-level providers, and physicians, and prepare treatment rooms and basic lab work.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA certification, and current BLS-CPR. Prior office experience is preferred; ability to lift 25 lbs and perform clinical duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or possession of a CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA certification.
• Experience: Prefer previous experience in a medical office (e.g., front office, lab experience, procedure setup).
• Current BLS-CPR Certification (AHA Provider)

Responsibilities

• Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services for patient comfort.
• Documents information in patient records.
• Performs direct patient care under direction of licensed providers.
• Communicates patient care information with care team.
• Assists physicians and nursing staff with procedures as appropriate.
• Performs tasks and procedures ordered by physicians or licensed providers per approved protocols.
• Performs tasks requiring specialized knowledge for the area of service.
• Other duties as assigned.
