Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front-line patient care in a busy clinical setting. You will prepare patients for exams, document health information, and assist providers with procedures and testing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS certification required; CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NHCWA/NRCMA NRMA certifications listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures (e.g., strep, cultures) following aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and administer routine medications under orders.
• Coordinate referrals and ensure smooth clinic flow via effective communication.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and adaptability to patient needs.
