Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations. The role involves preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, collecting health information, and ensuring smooth flow with the healthcare team.

You will perform basic lab procedures, assist physicians with procedures, administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols, and help coordinate referrals and tests while maintaining patient safety.

Competenze

• BLS certification required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current MA certifications (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/etc.) preferred
• 1 year experience preferred

Mansioni

• Prepare and room patients for exams; obtain vital signs and document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assist physicians with procedures (pelvic exams, EMG, colposcopy, etc.).
• Administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up with statements to patient as directed.
• Communicate with physicians and care team to maintain smooth clinic flow.
