Avera St Luke's Hospital is seeking a PRN receptionist for the Cardiology Clinic. The role involves greeting patients, registering them, verifying insurance, obtaining necessary authorizations, and guiding patients through the clinic workflow.

Primary duties include updating patient records, handling calls, and coordinating with nurses and physicians to ensure smooth visits. Excellent communication and confidentiality are essential in this team-based environment.

Formación

• High School or GED Equivalent is required or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients, checks them in and completes registration including demographics, insurance and collection of payments.
• Verifies insurance, authorizations and obtains consent/waivers as appropriate.
• Scans information into the patient record.
• Answers calls/messages/faxes and routes to appropriate individuals/departments.
• Maintains computer appointment scheduling and follows clinic scheduling policies.
• Facilitates coordination of nurse, physician, and patient time to expedite care.
• Directs patients to ancillary services as needed.
