Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an Exercise Physiologist within Cardiology to support diagnostic testing, risk factor modification, and individualized exercise programs.

You will perform exercise and pharmacological stress testing, coordinate care with cardiology teams, and cross-train across locations in the greater Charlotte area.

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology required; ACSM-CEP preferred; BLS required, ACLS within 6 months; 40 hours/week; full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required.
• ACSM-CEP certification preferred for stress testing.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs exercise and/or pharmacological stress testing following ACSM/AHA/ACC guidelines.
• Assess contraindications to cardiac stress testing and coordinate care with Cardiologist.
• Explain procedures, verify orders, and ensure patient safety during testing.
• Cross-train with related staff and respond to emergencies as needed.
