Job summary

Johns Hopkins University seeks a Cardiology Device Technologist to support the CIED team, managing implanted pacemakers and ICDs, performing device interrogations and programming per protocol, and assisting in patient care. The role includes on-call duties and travel to satellite clinics to cover device services.

Ideal candidates will have CRM certification, CPR/ACLS, and experience with Cardiac Rhythm Management. The position is based on the School of Medicine Campus in Baltimore.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or graduation equivalence.
• Completion of an accredited program in CIED or Radiologic Technology.
• CRM certification; RCIS, AART, or related electrophysiology experience may substitute for CRM.

Responsibilities

• Assess CIED related issues from patient feedback and history.
• Access device with full interrogation and identify sub-optimal programming or arrhythmias.
• Operate radiographic and ancillary equipment within multiple disciplines.
• Interrogate devices during MRI using MRI protocol.
• Troubleshoot device malfunctions and adjust programming per protocol.
• Carry on-call device pager during service hours and respond to pages.
• Travel to satellite locations to cover device clinics.
