Job summary

Duly Health and Care in New Lenox, IL is seeking a dedicated cardiac device rhythm management specialist to join a physician‑led team. You will perform in‑office interrogations, document outcomes, and collaborate with providers on MRI‑compatible devices and AV optimizations to support patient care.

Ideal candidates have CRAT certification, 2+ years of implanted device management, and 3+ years in cardiology or EP settings, with experience across Medtronic, Abbott, Biotronik, and Boston Scientific

Qualifications

  • CRAT certification required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-office device interrogations and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Document outcomes and summarize device testing results.
  • Collaborate with EP providers on MRI‑safety and scheduling for approved devices.
  • Perform AV optimizations and programming changes under supervision.
  • Maintain records of device advisories, recalls, and updates.

Position Overview
  • Device Interrogations: Conduct in‑office and in‑person interrogations, ensuring accurate assessments and thorough data collection.
  • Clearly document outcome of visit, including summary of device testing.
  • MRI Device Knowledge: Possess in‑depth knowledge of MRI‑compatible devices, presenting relevant information to providers for patient approvals and MRI scheduling.
  • AV Optimization: Skilled in performing AV optimizations in‑office, ensuring procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Vendor Navigation: Proficient in navigating systems and tools provided by the four main vendors in the industry: Medtronic, Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific.
  • Cardiac arrhythmias--address inappropriate detection, therapy or therapy failure with EP physician in timely fashion.
  • Telephonically assess, interpret and evaluate pacemakers' functions, assess patient questions and concerns and refer as appropriate.
  • Perform and coordinate remote follow‑up visits (Latitude, Carelink, Merlin, and Biotronik).
  • Manage office responsibilities which include documentation, records, and testing device maintenance.
  • Maintain records related to device advisory, recalls, and alerts.
  • Maintenance of device testing equipment and continual review of updates.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a cardiac device rhythm management course or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of recent implanted cardiac device management experience with knowledge of all manufacturer programmers.
  • 3+ years cardiology experience, cardiac electrophysiology preferred.
  • Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) required prior to employment commencement date.
  • Additional preferred certifications—Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certifications (CCDS, CEPS, CDRMS) also preferred, prior to employment date.
  • Hands‑On Clinical Expertise: In addition to our standard remote competencies, candidates must possess proven, hands‑on experience performing in‑office device interrogations, optimizations, and programming changes.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred OR experience in a related field—nursing, medicine, electronics, or engineering.
  • Experience with interrogating and interpreting device diagnostics for all four major manufacturers (Medtronic, Abbott/St. Jude, Boston Scientific, Biotronik).
  • Experience in performing AV‑Optimizations under the guidance of a provider.
  • Cardiac rhythm management industry training and experience preferred.
Base pay

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.94-38.91 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
