Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group in Kentucky seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support care teams with screenings, procedures, education, and admin tasks. You will coordinate care using technology for diverse patients, ensure patient comfort, and explain instructions clearly.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required at hire.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, CMA (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT) or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following established standards.
• Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, Temp, Pulse, Resp, height, weight, allergies, medications).
• May collect urine samples, draw blood, and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Administer medications and vaccines via various routes as ordered.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.
