Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform patient care under the supervision of a physician or APP in an ambulatory cardiology setting. This role supports testing, scheduling, and patient education while maintaining strict adherence to clinical policies.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Medical Assistant program, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Must have high school education or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or equivalent work experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification and CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA or other recognized CMA credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under physician/APP supervision in ambulatory setting.
• Gather patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assist physicians/APP during examinations and procedures.
• Document patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Schedule and coordinate testing and specialty consultations.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
